We are conducting research on the development of new mathematical and physical models for molecular and plasma flows and their applications to life, environmental, and space sciences. We will explore the functionality of micro-nano multiphase flows, ionic currents, non-equilibrium gas flows, biological flows, etc., from both theoretical and experimental perspectives, which have been difficult to handle using conventional fluid dynamics theory based on the Navier-Stokes equations alone.Through the development of multi-scale and multi-physics theories of bio-nano flow, numerical design methods for next-generation batteries, creation of ultra-micro medical devices, and devising methods for analyzing planetary atmospheres, we aim to further deepen our science and contribute to society.
